We want to share the exceptional world of Andrzej Wajda’s artwork with fans of art and film. After his death, the Oscar-winning director has left of course unforgettable works of art, but also a dose of sadness and insufficiency. As Wajda Art Project we want to share with the world unusual materials including the director’s inspirations, feelings, emotions during the creative process. We have organised a fundraising by which it is possible. The Wajda Art Project itself contains of 2 albums and a documentary movie; the materials have been creating for 10 years. The movie – “Andrzej Wajda. My inspirations” – is an intimate talk of the director who tells about his fascination of the polish painting and the way polish art has affected his movie and theatre works. The album DRAWINGS contains several hundred drawings of Andrzej Wajda which have accompanied him throughout whole his life – these are the sketches with the visited places, people he met, visualisations of his movie scenes and also whole art works like watercolours. In the second album – INSPIRATIONS – Andrzej Wajda explains which of the polish paintings influenced his work the most and why. Join the fund!
